Required Documents
In order to provide information or to terminate the contractual relationship, we require the following documents:
- Death certificate: As proof of the death.
- Inheritance entitlement: For example, a certificate of inheritance or a will with probate minutes (each in original or as a certified copy).
- Copies of identification documents: Copies of valid ID documents of all heirs.

Payout & Options for the Balance
As soon as we have reviewed the documents, we will inform you about the current holdings of cryptocurrencies and euro balance. There are two options for settlement:
Option A: Sale & Euro Transfer We sell the crypto assets at the current market price and transfer the total proceeds in euros to an account designated by the heirs.
Option B: Transfer to Own BISON Account If you wish to hold cryptocurrencies yourself, you can open your own BISON account. We will then transfer the holdings internally to your account.
Notes for Authorised Representatives & Bank Advisors
We ask for your understanding that we are generally only permitted to provide information about the account directly to the heirs.
Bank Advisors: Please refer the heirs directly to our support.
Powers of Attorney: If a power of attorney extending beyond death exists, we also require this in original or as a certified copy for legal review by our specialist department.
