What is Staking?

With staking, you can make your cryptocurrencies work for you and receive regular rewards. Here you will learn everything about how it works, the available coins, and what you need to get started.

This means for you:

• Currently available at BISON: Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) for staking

• If you have already purchased or deposited Ethereum or Solana at BISON, you can stake them directly via BISON

What must I pay attention to when staking?

• Only possible for cryptocurrencies with a proof-of-stake procedure (currently at BISON: Ethereum and Solana)

• Requirement: Only possible for customers residing in Germany – staking function will be automatically deactivated if you move abroad

• Staked cryptocurrencies are not available for transactions or trading during the staking period

I am shown a pop-up and notices regarding the special conditions for staking

• Consent to staking special conditions and instruction for staking are legally required

• Without consent and instruction, active staking is not possible

• If you consent: Boerse Stuttgart Digital Custody is still allowed to stake the held cryptocurrencies and use rewards for infrastructure, even if you do not actively use staking

  → Access, trading, and transactions of held cryptocurrencies are possible at any time if you do not actively put your cryptocurrencies into staking

• Consent to special conditions and instruction for staking are optional; if not used, simply close the pop-up

Problems or questions?

You have started the unstaking process and your ETH or SOL are still locked? 

• The unstaking process can take up to two months! 

• This depends on the network –> BISON has no influence on this!
